Aurangabad (Bihar) CRPF and Bihar police in a joint operation have recover huge cache of Arms, Ammunition and explosive. The teams of CRPF and Bihar police were on joint search and destroy operation in the district of Aurangabad in Bihar on December 12. The recovery was made from the forest area of Ladhiya Pahad, Sikarikuan, under Madanpur Police Station.
The 205 CoBRA battalion of CRPF on a regular search for any unusual activity found that a large packet is hidden between the boulders in the thick forest. When the packet was opened, they found arms, explosives and detonators etc. Arms recovered are automatic and semi-automatic rifles, pistols, revolvers, country made pistols etc.
In the month of September 22, the Bihar Police and Para Military Forces (SSB) had recovered huge arms and explosives in the same area of under Madanpur Police Station of Aurangabad district. The are is infested by the Maoists and their activities are on the rise.
As per the statemen released by the CRPF authorities “Prima facie, the weapons and explosives were meant to be used by Maoists, who dumped the weapons while retreating in a hurry from the area because of offensive operations by CRPF and Bihar Police to flush out Maoists”.
The recovery includes 1 INSAS Rifle, 1 Self Loading Rifle (SLR), 1 Bolt Action Rifle, 1 9mm Pistol, 3 country made pistol with magazines, 3 Katta, 2 Bharmar guns, 1 Revolver, 1 Thernet (similar to Carbine Machine gun), 21 Cane Bombs, 623 Detonators, 21 Pressure switches, wires etc.
The huge cache of arm, explosive and detonators could create havoc in the hands of Maoists. CRPF and Bihar police has given a jolt to the planning of doing something big the Maoists. These teams are working day and night to eradicate the extremism and succeeding towards Naxal free Bihar.
