Vijay Kumar Beniwal, a bank manager from Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh, was shot and killed by a terrorist at the Ellaqui Dehati Bank’s Areh Mohanpora branch in Kulgam earlier this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An encounter in the Kanjiular area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian late Tuesday night resulted in the deaths of two terrorists linked to the Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Jan Mohammad Lone was one of the terrorists slain in the operation, according to authorities. Lone, a Shopian local, was involved in the Kulgam district’s intentional death of a bank manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tufail Ganai has been identified as the second terrorist. The site of the meeting yielded incriminating materials, weaponry, and ammo, including an AK 47 rifle and a pistol, according to authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beniwal’s assassination was the eighth since May 1, and the third involving a non-Muslim government official.
